From the "Land of 10,000 Haystacks", comes the Wisdom River Gallery. We are located in the majestic Rocky Mountains in southwestern Montana's beautiful "Big Hole Valley". Since the early 1800's the area has been legendary for it's historic events - Chief Joseph and the Battle of the Big Hole and the notorious Henry Plummer, sheriff-outlaw. The area attracts people from all over for its history, for its prestigious hunting and fishing, and for its beautiful scenery.
Wisdom River Gallery, owned and operated by Daryll and Kay Jacobson, had its somewhat humble beginning in a little old log cabin nearly 25 years ago. Then in 1984 they moved their gallery to its present location, where Daryll's woodworking experience, plus his incredible sense of design enabled him to remodel the former Basin Mercantile building into a beautiful gallery. The immense structure, with beamed ceilings and barnwood walls, lends itself to a certain charm and classic western style, creating a wonderful setting for a Western lifestyle.

Daryll is not the sole talent of this gallery... his beautiful wife Kay has an unequalled talent for floral arrangement, display and interior decorating. The two of them have truely made Wisdom River Gallery an unbelievably unique and absolutely stunning gallery. You will find one of kind western clothing, artwork, framing and furniture you will not find anywhere else.

Daryll not only creates some of the most beautiful furniture that you'll ever see,he has also developed an original style of matting and framing that is as much a treasure as the artwork it surrounds. Whether you bought your picture here or from someone else, Daryll can build you a frame that is also a work of art.

So...Come on in and see just a few of the items we have to offer in our Gallery.
